I would like to take this moment to remember the many troops who fought on D-day 70 years ago. Be it from Canada, Us, England, or ANY other country which participated, they all had a job. The pilots, the gunners, the soldiers, the marines, the leaders, etc. They all had a responsibility, to secure the fate of the future planet as we know it, and to end the most destructive conflict in world history as we know it. All of these troops gave so much for us, and were so selfless in their mission. It does not matter what tool they used, be it a Rifle, a Sherman tank, a Spitfire/Mustang fighter plane, a Lancaster or B24 bomber, a calculator and map, a radio, or radar, they all fought for us, and for our freedom. I am specifically proud of what Canada, my country achieved, by taking Juno beach and co-operating so well with the British, but I have to honor the immense sacrifices of America on Utah and Omaha, and the English troops on Sword and Gold. In the end today, 70 years ago was the day that changed the world. Say what you want, but today I took 2 minutes of silence as I played "the last post" bugle call in the background on YouTube, it is the least that I can do for all those who died, thousands from my home country.
Thank You for your time and if you read this all the way through, you are awesome
