really? I'd expect it to be america, besides. Australia is half a world way. The Americas are just across the Atlantic. (I'm taking this from a medieval 2 total war approach)

I'd say Africa would be the first to be colonized because it was colonized in the late 1800s instead of Australia which wasn't colonized till I believe the 1700s.
