You use 24 hour time. Standard time counts 1-12 AM, then it goes 1-12 PM instead of continuing up to 24. It's something weird idk

I agree but I was raised with it my whole life, so I'm struggling to switch over X.x same with the Imperial and Metric measuring units

They did it so it would fit on analog clocks (wall clocks)
