Depends on what you want to know, The books of Matthew Mark Luke and John all tell the story of Jesus from birth till death, (and a lil bit after the resurrection) The book of Acts tells the stories of various followers (Mostly paul) after Jesus' death. The rest of the books are letters that were written between churches, and titles of them indicate the recipients, (i.e Romans is a letter to the church in rome, hebrews a letter to the jews.) The last book in the new testament Revelation is a prophecy!
When studying the New Testament, you need to look at it from an outline first. First, are the 4 Gospels, which depict the account of Jesus from 4 different views. All have different details an things mentioned, yet none contradict each other. They are in the scripture in this order: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I suggest reading them in the order of John, Mark, Luke, Matthew. Next comes Acts, which depicts the beginning of the church of Jesus. Then comes the letters of the Apostle Paul, which he wrote to the churches in Anatolia and Greece. Then you will find the "minor letters" or letters he wrote to individuals. Finally, you'll find Revelation, which is a prophecy of what is to come. Here, many things are difficult to understand, but most things are symbolic. So yeah, read John, then the other gospels in any order, then procede as they are written
