Okay, as much as this is overused, it's there for a reason. I've seen plenty of people do it. Thing is, like most cultural things, it's used wrong now. Instead of being used when a guy is explaining something obvious thinking they know everything, it's used when a guy explains anything, even if he actually didn't think the other person didn't know. In short, people are stupid and it makes me sad.
