Because they're delusional and refuse to believe in a world that doesn't work the way they want to. Also, they bring up their faith when clearly lacking any, even the simplest form of answer. ''I know it's real'', ''It must have been God'', ''You heard God'', ''You need God'', that stuff. However, I am mainly talking about Catholics, Protestants and, vaguely, Islam: I lack a greater form of understanding of Hindus/Buddhists/Neo-Pagans/Orthodoxi/NORSEMEN VALHALLA BITC-Sorry, not sorry.

Exactly, my story was similar to Zoom, and he was one of the reasons I left religion. Religion was created because humanity was scared, but humanity should move on now.
There are various types of religious people. You'd need many discussions to get to know them all. Yet there is only one type of atheist, and that is the one that only knows prejudice against the faithful people, while barely knowing them. Now I do know you're part of a (Muslim?) religious family and i have no clue how they are, but don't generalize all religious people.
If you think this is bad, try talking to a devout disciple of Khorne. They will literally just keep repeating the same thing over and over again. So annoying.

Ah, of course, the argument of Pascal's Wager. "What if you are wrong", surely I am taking a gamble, surely I should just believe in God just for the chance he is real? Firstly, God is not a binary system, it's not the choice of whether you should believe in God or not. There are hundreds of main religions not to mention tens of thousands of minor religions, how do you know Islam isn't right, or Jainism, etc. Furthermore, inside these religions, there are branches, the greatest example we can see in Christianity, which has an absurd amount of branches. So whatever you choose, I could say "unless [insert religion here] is right, then you fcked up." That is my main argument. I could propose some smaller arguments such as what if God congratulates intelligence then I might argue he would support atheism and it's just a test. Another argument is that God wouldn't even put you in Heaven if you believe in religion from fear. So to sum up you can see why that is a poor argument to argue for religion. However, after reading all of this you may ask that why should you believe in atheism if it makes no difference. Well you need to look at what atheism can achieve for society. So many wars in history have come from religion, so much time lost going to church and doing rituals have come from religion, society would benefit so much from atheism. TLR, that argument does not work because there are many beliefs, you can't believe in religion out of fear and God might congratulate intelligence (atheism), society would be better of with atheism.

Jerry, horrible argument, I don't want to be too rude, but you must be really stupid to think that. I would like for you to expand on your ignorant argument so I can proceed to roast it easily. However, if that is all you wish to say, then how come the majority of Netherlands are living great lifestyles despite being a majority atheist country?
