The original intent of these people is to show that even with their monstrous sin of killing dozens of innocent people, that God won't punish them. In other words, to them, God doesn't exist, or do anything to control people. The atheist mindset. Not saying all atheists are bad, it's just that most of these 'Islamist' killers are atheist, because they don't believe in God.
