Fine then, don't pray for them. Don't even think about them at all. It's too late anyway if there stuck in Florida. We should have built a wall around Florida to keep the storms out. Or maybe a wall around earth to stop global warming. Maybe a nuclear winter? Hell it would get rid of the global economy that is responsible for the CO2 emissions that accelerate the natural warming process of the earth.
Maybe an executive order to ban the use of gasoline powered automobiles, and send the army to size all the oil refineries and navy to seize the oil rigs.
Prayers are a coping mechanism for some and this post is intended to show support for the people who have to deal with the storm. A reminder of the people that are there without all the gloom and doom of just "omg this is horrible". And to hope that in the midst of destruction people will survive and be rescued in time afterwards. There are people who are going to die in this storm, who are still alive now. It is really scary for many people who have friends and family that couldn't get out, and families that are trapped. So there is little left to do for some but pray that they are ok. Which some people won't be. I'm sorry if this offends you. And I hope you are not taking the above comments too seriously. They were sarcastic.

Prayer won't stop a hurricane, but it can surely help those IN the hurricane. Medical studies show that patients with support in prayer heal faster, overcome, or suffer less stress and pain than those who don't, and for no explainable reason. Even when they don't know they are being prayed for
