I've never been one to take sides on things like this but even if a country can technically be called a shithole it's not going to be good to call it that and it sure as hell won't help with foreign relationships if anything it'll destroy what was hoped to gain. Trump needs to watch what he says. He's president now he's not the pampered business leader he used to be. He's the president and he should act like one.

what is trump going to achieve or gain from 'proving' how fake the media is? bare in mind you said 'maybe'. i don't get why donald trump would want to prove something about the media amidst so randomly. if he wants to prove something about the media, i can think of infinitely more ways to do so that are all better than what he said. what an excuse.

That judgement itself is a generalization and is parallel to the generalization and marginalization of the ‘deplorables’ who’s varying political and logical outputs are shat upon by some large numbers of opponents who cannot tolerate different views, which is not a political argument but an argument of principle. No, because Trump knows he's the president of the United States and he should act like it. I NEVER said he had to act professional every minute of the day. However, Obama 'cursed like a sailor' behind close doors. Donald Trump said what he said in a DACA meeting, there's a YUGE difference - as Trump would say. obama = behind closed doors, not necessarily a professional environment donald trump = in a MEETING, in the fucking OVAL OFFICE. Even if Obama cursed like a sailor, he didn't call a whole continent a 'shithole'. Maybe Obama did, or he didn't, we have no idea what Obama said - because it was behind closed doors. But the fact that we don't know whether or not Obama did, is a splendid reason for you to NOT make false accusations or assumptions. Whenever trump supporters are confronted with valid reasoning, they always pull Obama or Clinton into it. It doesn't matter if Clinton and Obama called Africa a continent full of monkeys, it has absolutely nothing to do with Trump.

And honestly, this country has more leverage over other countries than anywhere else in the world. America is the largest trader, investor and most invested in. This country supplies the most foreign aid, political lobbying, most diplomatic observing and most military aid and economic development to the world. America is still too big a presence to ignore and its not because we are the sweetest people on earth, it’s because this country out developed all others.

And terrible mistakes like the cold war (which had two nations to blame) and subsequent arms race, the Iraq invasion, and the creation and supplying of insurgent groups and subsequent destabilization and terrorism that resulted, the propping up of the tyrannical Shah in Iran before the revolution, and all the deep hatred of America in the Islamic world that has resulted from all of those mistakes, and the wars and migrations and attacks that have resulted, millions of lives lost and trillions of dollars spent, and the never-ending drone strikes that Clinton, Obama and Bush have done (and Obama has an undeserving nobel peace prize) that have killed so many, and the $20 trillion in debt from irresponsible management, are all so so much worse than any words can describe, and infinitely worse than calling any country or number of countries any kind of name.

But stupid people that have no solution to any of those problems will stress themselves out over words that were said behind closed doors, as if that is a blunder that could possibly compare to the terrible actions of former administrations and congress.

I won't deny the media is a shithole. Calling other countries shitholes however is completely different than Obama cursing like a sailor. Obama's words weren't counterproductive to foreign relationships like Trump's were.

the conditions in these countries for average people are poopy thats what he meant he meant that the conditions for people living in these countries was poor not the countries themselves being trash
