I can agree with friction of air particles. But the further you stand the higher you need to throw and the moment the projectile reaches its highest point it will fall much faster due to gravity. For example if you drop a stone of 1 meter/ 3 feet, nothing will happen, if you drop this stone from the Eiffel Tower, this same stone will become deadly.

but you are talking about objects falling down while the spear infact is launched due to the kinetic energy of the hand that pushs it forward, not the potential energy (hight) which you are speaking of.

Correct, but I did not say anything about kinetic energy cause you obvious need that in any case even when you pull the string of a bow. So as i said the gravity will continue to exert a force on the spear. The projectile will not be able to continue a linear movement because the force of the gravity is stronger than the force of the kinetic energy. So there is a point that the spear will deviate and will go faster to the surface of the earth.

Distance doesn't matter imo, and the velocity of the spear currently is just fine. However, I suppose something could be done about standing still when throwing a spear.

sorry but that change is so minor that it wont change anything. You are just trying to sound smart and shit, you are but drop it because at this small size of objects it doesnt really matter.

Lets go and throw some spears, shall we? You cannot throw the spear if it is too close to you, because you need the full body rotation and arm extension to send it flying in a deadly manor. This isn't possible in close quarters or near your target. Also spears are for stabbing, not throwing
