At the very least you have to thank Trump for making these issues popular, because like he said “You wouldn’t even be talking about illegal immigration if it weren’t for me”.

Obama promised peace, and he had two terms of war, Trump is on thin ice over keeping his ‘America First’ promise, but at least he made it popular, even the media is ‘America First’ just because they think Trump is about to break that promise. So ‘America First’ was once ridiculed but has now been normalized.

Even the centrists and independents who sway elections each year support most of his original policies despite disliking him personally.

Trump stands a better chance at reelection than Republicans during midterms.
