it's a pretty stupid retort given that no reasonable person blurs the distinction between man and beast that way in an informal everyday context - calling a person an animal is a massive insult, but one that MS-13 deserves. they're gang members and the statement was nowhere close to being racist given that a gang of violent criminals is not representative of an entire race. the people making these claims twist words and context whenever possible. responses to them cannot be subpar.
