I think that there are definitely some people who are legitimately homosexual, but the vast majority of people that I've seen simply do it for the sake of being different. At my school, we call them LUGs: Lesbians Until Graduation. They do it to gain attention; everyone loves a rebel, after all. As for actual, legitimate homosexuals, though, I couldn't tell you.

Honestly, I don't know and I don't care. If people are gay they're gay. Do we really need to find out why people are gay? No not really. The only reason why there's even research in it is because some people wanted the findings to say it's a mental illness. Some people whom are against gays still say it's a mental illness even though there's no proof that it can be considered a mental illness or a disease/genetic defect. If you were to use the same idea that gays are genetic defects with people with eyes then any person without brown eyes has a genetic defect. Even hair color besides black would be considered a genetic defect.
