Because Mother’s Day and Father’s Day reinforces gender stereotypes, is outdated and offensive to ‘diverse’ families like mixed families, single parent families, and same sex parent families. that's dumb. You can just celebrate both parents on one day, or if you still have some "masculine" "feminine" stuff, use that to determine who "mother" and "father" is. I don't see why this is a problem

From what I've heard, it was "Mother's day is perfectly alright! No one can deny that Mom needs a day." But "Father's day is an abomination that needs to be abolished at all costs! Fathers are MEN and all MEN are part of the Nazi Patriarchy Rape Culture and don't deserve a day! We should replace Father's day with a day for those women who have liberated themselves from the evil that is MEN (because women don't need MEN to continue the species and we should institute a New World Order to round up MEN, stick them into concentration camps, and gas them all to death to defeat the evil that is the Patriarchy!!!1!!one!) and have Single Mother's Day!" Meaning that some moms get celebrated twice while Fathers don't get celebrated at all.
