History is part of the equation of understanding. The knowledge is another tool to understand how the world works. History, geography, economics, the cause/effect and patterns associated with those things are all mathematical and scientific themselves, and those mathematical and scientific concepts have a history of development, interpretation and influence. All of those subjects and interpretations are interconnected. These interconnected understandings are important in decision making.
