As much as the call in the NFC Championship was blown, in the end it was the Saints who blew a ten point lead, threw an interception, and failed to stop the Rams and their two kicks to tie and win the game. As for the AFC championship game...that roughing the passer call was total BS.

Look [user]11214119[/user]I get it, they let the Rams tie the game, they threw on 1st down which stopped the clock, they lost in OT, but listen, that was an extremely obvious call, as bad as it gets. They throw the flag, the Saints get the ball at the 6 yard line, 1st down. New Orleans takes three knees, runs the clock out and scores the FG. OR they take a risk and go for the game winning TD. Either way LA is forced to burn a timeout and loses anyway. It should never have gone to overtime DESPITE blowing a 13 point lead. It all comes down to that call, according to the rules. Assuming the kicker makes the FG, New Orleans wins. The NFL admitted to the head coach immediately afterward that “We screwed it up.”

It's on the NFL completely, yeah. They need to fix their act. In the Steelers game, they called a PI on Joe Haden (while the saints where on fourth down at their own 40) when all he did was touch the back of the reciever. would that have not been called the Steelers would be in playoffs. It's BS. Pass Interference is a wuss call that should be lowered to completely making them unable to have any chance to catch the ball, like in the Saints-Rams game. and roughing the passer is also a BS penalty. I mean, if you completely knock out the passer or do a crazy hit...sure yeah. But other than that, no reason to.

am i the only one who thinks the petition that we should suddenly replay the entire match really stupid? like yeah if you think about it for 5 seconds it seems to make sense but you have to get everyone together for an entire extra game. Not just the teams, you gotta get the tv networks to put time in their schedules to televise the match. You gotta get all the extra staff and workers to get in, not to mention get all the extra money to pay them all. All these things are scheduled months if not years (television contracts) in advance.

Football is better. And by football I mean, for you silly Americans out there, 'soccer'. 'Tis wayyy better. You call it football yet hardly use your feet, it's effectively fancier Rugby.
