Yes and no, liberal and leftist are different terms as much as conservative and nazi are. For example, I fall into what PragerU describes as a "Classical Liberal", I believe in fairness, equality, and freedom for all people regardless of race, sex, religion, or sexuality...however I am a moderate conservative. I feel that, for the most part, we are there, there are still things that need doing, but we are or at least were there. I disagree with the modern push for "Equality" though, as it has mostly dissolved into a push for the total reversal of a status quo that started to crumble some 150 years ago. As a student of history, with recent looks at the the French Revolution and the Rise of the Third Reich...I can't help but be frightened though, how long before a some guy sitting in a bathtub starts writing hit lists of "Enemies of the State" for Antifa? How long before a night of falling glass is repeated?
