Yes, it's a very good thing that the other Europeans have the chance to work and travel freely in other countries of the EU! This way the economy and the industry benefit, as talented people have the option to move abroad and contribute there. :)

Yes, brain drain is really great, and getting eurocrats telling us what do from Brussells is almost as much fun as we had when Communists did that from Belgrade. It's also nice to be the source of cheap labour and dumping ground for Western European shoddy goods. Not to mention wonderful open border policie imposed by otherss, Mutti Merkel barks "wir schaffen das" and presto! We get all the engineers and doctors from Somalia and Pakistan we never wanted. European "values" and all that.

PS Most European-born Gastarbeiters in Germany arrived before EU, for example from former Yugoslavia in 1960s and 1970s.
