    The entire world over should have prepared for a pandemic of this sort by making medical supply lines more robust and developing a game plan in the event of a pandemic. If you look at science, this was likely to happen yet nobody predicted it or prepared. In the beginning the US believed the virus was under control but it never was, it was in the US before anyone realized. And the idea that anyone else would have shut down the country is wrong because there are governments: state, local and foreign, that have failed to adequately respond even to the level of our US federal government. There are people ignoring the social distancing guidelines. Most people were comparing the virus to the flu back when case numbers were low, but now that it has blown up across the world we can see that it is not. I do not deny that I could have responded better but I do not accept most of the blame for this crisis getting out of hand.
