3.3 - Hotfix #1
Mae govannen! The stars are shining upon our meeting, in this new Hotfix thread! Following a successful Mordor update event, that reached 56 players, we do have many bug fixes already implemented on the server, while many more bugs are already identified and are being worked on. A changelog for the unfixed bugs will come out once they're all - well - fixed, which will be called the 3.3 Hotfix #2.
I would like to use this occasion to address some of the concerns raised over the Constructor rework.
We've planned to make all resource blocks stored in your inventories drop upon death. We are aware that the inventory carrying limits are not working correctly right now, and we're working to get this fixed for the next Hotfix.
A few people have also raised concerns over the usefulness of team inventories and fortifications. On top of the silver that you earn for submitting resources to the team inventory, team inventories are useful to help build fortifications and siege equipment such as the Helm's Deep siege ladders, and gate rams. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding buildable gate braces, that can be built just like siege ladders and rams. That will require you to have resources laying in your team's inventory. By the time constructor rework part II is out, as well as a silver shop, team inventories are going to be crucial for the upcoming engineer classes, that will be able to build and maintain functional siege weapons such as ballistas. In the silver shop, we plan to add the ability to purchase new blueprints for more cool structures like towers, ladders and resupply stations. All that we ask is patience
We are also going to work on increasing the availability of material piles scattered throughout the maps, but be aware that it is our intention to make them finite. Eventually, it is normal to run out of resources. In the future, we would like to add a feature where you can 'request' supplies to be delivered to your team, or at-least some sort of mechanic that makes new resources available somewhere on the map.
Something very important I'd like to point out, is a very major balancing change. We've buffed the Rock Throw Ability for trolls and alike, because it was unrealistically too weak. Additionally, we buffed shield durability on all shield classes, because they used to break ridiculously quickly.
From now on, hotfixe will get a screenshot in the header!
