A haven for RPers: Ilthilia

I haven't started a thread in a while, but I think this is a good day to do so.

I am a member and former leader of a player community/group named Ilthilia, also known as Ilthilien. We were founded 3 years ago when EW RP started; when it closed we did not die with it but instead moved on to other servers.

We are in the middle of a transitional period atm as the server we were based on (atherys) is no longer capable of sustaining us, and hence we are moving to an RP server named Lord of the Craft (LoTC). Our eventual goal is to form our own nation there which will act as a haven for players, including our EW comrades.

If you are interested in RP, or are willing to play on an RP server with other aspects of gameplay and wish to join/return to our community, our forum site is ilthilien.enjin.com. That forum is our primary means of communication and members are heavily encouraged to check it regularly.

We are currently recruiting and will most likely get land for a guild within the next 2 days. We welcome the vast majority of players (with one specific exception) provided they are interested. That said, we do adhere to our rules and community unity quite strictly, and troublemakers are advised to find somewhere else. Leadership is a duty that has to be earned instead of caused by stirring unrest. Be warned.

I know you're not necessarily serious, however we have refrained from mentioning Ilthilia in threads since we didn't want to be disrespectful - notably these threads; where even TOW (A direct rival of EW) was mentioned.

As said, we want to be respectful as possible, we are refraining from mentioning Ilthilia in game and making any other threads. We just simply want to give the players an other alternative from the array of servers - many servers were mentioned and pretty much summed up where the rest of the community plays; however little was there a towny or roleplay option, thus we decided to make a thread advertising us.
Whilst, EQ is pretty much the successor to EW and where the community will thrive, I hope the community will expand elsewhere whether be it small clans on Hypixel, playing on ToW or even building a new server in itself.
 
LOTC whitelist applications are extremely difficult, you will have to put in at least two hours into an application

I've looked into the archives of LOTC; and you applied over a year ago when it was properly considered hardcore. It has greatly reduced its standards in numerous aspects

To weed out bad rpers and lazy people. Not saying it doesn't take awhile (mine was from a LONG time ago), but it does help decrease the amount of noobs.

As for inexperienced Rpers, you'll probably learn there. Just don't be the basic "orcs killed my parents i must avenge them" or a guard with no emotions. Make a story, don't be a rude person, try to avoid memes in rp, and don't break the rules.
