Horrible lighting bug. It's really annoying, it only allows me to say a few blocks.

Hmm... avoid the shadows maybe? Or suggest lighting it up a bit.

Goto .minecraft folder and scroll until you see something called "Options" Then Find gamma (Like the 3rd row of words) and change it from 1.0 to 100.0
I got my gamma to 10,000%

For some reason, my gamma was on 0.64788735. I changed it to 100%, but it goes back when I start the game :S

Also, as for the darkness in Erebor, it is way too dark, it's not a bug, it's just poorly designed, so you can't see who your hitting and the dwarves can't lose, that is until you take the second flag.

I did. It changes when I use the video settings in-game. (Moody and Bright)
