Could there be an Ask the Tim thread? You ask Tim why he did things the way he did them.
 
You mean like a FAQ? Might do a video with FAQ, hmm..
Will also look into making a thread, ask here for now.
 
Well, a chunk is 16x16x16 (not 16x16x257, as of the hight update chunks include 16 as hight as well and have 4 stacked on eachother.
If a chunk would mine a chunk of wood, that'd be 16x16x16 wood, which is 16^3. That's 4096 blocks of wood, equal to 16384 wooden planks.

No I did not use a calculator.

My experience tells me that 4096*4 shouldn't be 16376, as both end with 6...
