But is it as good as 1 dmg staff?

While the +30% fireball damage increase did help mage a lot it is still considerably weak. The mage "staff" (or blazerod) has a pitiful 5 sharpness, 7 sharpness if you vote which is equal to the damage of an unenchanted wooden sword that deals 1.5 hearts of damage to a soldier if you crit, 1 heart if you do not crit.

So here's a very common scenario for mage: You against a soldier, you land a fireball that is about 2 or 2.5 hearts of damage. 1.9 regen quickly mitigates that damage and you have to land around 8-9 attacks to kill this guy while he only has to land around 3-4 OR do the smart thing and just run away

Its much easier with archer since all archer players are terrible at the game and can't melee archer has significantly less armor and fireballs do around 3-4 hearts of damage against them.

My suggestions:
-Increase damage of mages staff to the damage of a stone sword
-Fully commit to mages current "hit and run" playstyle and give it regen 1-2

Personally I would like the return of old fireballs launching players into the air, mage jump actually being usable midfight and HP pot return. I know many complained about mage in the past. but to be honest the old mage only excelled at killed unskilled players and outmaneuvering a mob of players who are chasing you. Spearman was a much stronger class to use back then and in my opinion making mage like old mage would be a step in the right direction for this class.

TL;DR:

Buff mage jump making it usable mid fight so the mage can be evasive,
Readd HP pots,
Make fireballs launch people into the air like old mage.

Buffed the staff last sunday (with +2 sharpness and +3 sharpness for voters)
