Cant connect to server, but can see what map is on etc.

I keep getting the error message "authentication servers are down for maintanence" but I can see the maps and players. Can anyone help?

It means that the authentication server are down.

Which means that you can't log in.

if you cant login on any server that means the logging in servers at minecraft are down, if its just empirewar, no idea.

Its all servers, however, I've restarted my game, maybe its because im at school and im using a VPN to get past their firewalls
