So I was thinking since Tim said we are never going to go down a update and a lot of people were fine with 1.8... That, we could make EW 1.8 and 1.9 that way you can go on either one and still play with others.

We don't need 1.9 shields we already have 1.8 shields
 
Making it 1.8 and 1.9 would make it so we can no longer use 1.9 features like shields, this won't happen.
