So yess. Decided to start discussion about that game type. This is NOT place to advertise any specific server but
discuss this kind of game type at neutral level and maybe MENTION some good servers but also discuss about could this kind of games be organized on Empire war servers.
What is survival gaming?
Survival gaming is in nutshell gaming pvp with limited area and without any items in the start. All stuff what you need is get from chests in the starting place or from other chests which are hidden around the battleground. Players can start killing each other immediately when the game starts(yess, in most of servers actually even when player are yet running for starters some start punching with their hands). The winner is simply the one who stands last. Also teams are in most of cases allowed so winning can be pretty hard. Also food is limited and some servers use plugins which simulate illness or that kind of things. Also it's possible to starve death(nope,in original minecraft it leaves half heart left when hunger bars are empty)so saving food is even more important. Actually movie 'Hunger games' tells pretty much everything about this game type(and many servers are named after it).
How much do I have to spend time to play one sg?
It depends pretty much how good you are in pvp and what kind of stuff do you find and how quickly. If can't get any good stuff and/or there comes a guy with iron sword(which is in most of cases the most frightening melee weapon)it's almost immediately game over but if you find some good stuff or success to kill one with it can take some tens of minutes. Then there are maps which can last only for about ten minutes and so on.
Can I know which kind of stuff do I get from each chest?
In most of cases no. The items are randomized to each chest per each game so from the chest you got once iron sword you can at other time get only some raw fish(Collum would like).
Are good pvp skills mandatory to win games?
No but they will make it easier to win games than pure luck. For example with good bow kills you can kill guy with iron sword and some awesome armour which you can then use as your own to win. Also good parkour skills can help in some of cases. Ofc you will learn a lot of those by playing there and it can help you here on Empire war siege server too.
I have donated for king here and love to own every siege players here so why would I even think about survival gaming?
Because it is some nice variation and it can also help you here in pvp.
Overall I think it's great type of pvp and feel it would be great if Empire war had its own survival games for example on the rp server.
I have tried some servers but find minecraftHg as own favourite for survival gaming because of ranklisting system and with many maps (only like 4 different of them but over 20 in total)so you get games pretty quickly. Then there are many other servers so by searching with hunger games or survival games there will be like 100 choises(this is not unique idea like idea of lotr siege war is).
