So iv noticed a lot of maps being released on siege and I am very impressed. I never thought Erebor and the Morannon maps would be made but now I see them up and running. The one thing that is really bothering me is that Empire War's maps are really good and detailed, yet the maps seem to be less devoted to what Tolkien wrote and more to the people that haven't read the books. I finished the Children of Hurin a few months ago and now I'm already half way through the Silmarillion. When I'm reading and I don't recognize a person, place, battle, etc I look it up in my Atlas of Middle-earth guide book or on Tolkiengateway. To even have a server that relates a little bit to LOTR is great, but seeing Erebor's teams be Dwarves vs Orcs really seems sad to me, why cant it be Dwarves of Erebor/Men of Dale vs Easterlings like how it actually happened? Why cant we add some Silmarillion maps for those who are hardcore Tolkienites? Why do all the maps have to be LOTR/TH? I would love to see some Battles of Beleriand maps on EW. It would be a dream come true. I just wanted to put that out there.
