To start off, I would like to answer a simple question; Why make a guide, and why Minas Tirith? It's simple, I've been on this server for so long, where I've played this map loads of times. It's one of the first maps, and also a record holder in updates, bug fixes and other changes. I wanted to made a guide, to share the experiences I got with this map, to maybe even help others.

In this guide, I'll basically explain classes as first, for example, what is the best place to use them? What does it do? Is it recommended? I'll also explain a few places, such as the flags, and how to defend them.
Classes
[rule]
In Minas Tirith, there are loads of classes, both on the side of Mordor, and on the side of Gondor. I'll speak about normal classes, since I've the best experiences with them, since I haven't donated yet, having no personal history with any of them.
Gondor
Archer:
You're a person who shoots arrows with average damage from a distance. Your job is to poke them down, making them low on health, irritating them with arrows, and taking down other archers, to make sure they won't do the same to your team. I recommend this for the persons who aren't very strong in PvP with swords, and taking a step back from it, shooting at a safe distance. You can get kills, and you are very important in defending the base.
Swordsmen:
You're the person who makes nobody get through, in or out. You're fighting at close distance, and you'll be in close contact to the high damage dealing people, such as the trolls. Your job is to go and stop the orcs for as long as possible, and to defend positions. I recommend this for the people who are good in PvP, because then the kills start rolling.
Mage:
A mage deals high damage at close range, a very efficient counter to slow and strong units, such as trolls. You're still fighting at an average distance, with a greater chance of dying. However, with potions in your backpack, and a permanent speed buff, you can flee the battlefield for a minute, heal yourself up, and start again killing people. This unit is all-round, you can use him to support swordsmen with potions, making defend gates with his flamethrower, and let him attack high priority targets, such as trolls. This unit is easy to play, and when played right, you'll get tons of kills and points.
Spearmen:
My favourite class. This unit, the spearman, is a weak swordman, but with a ranged ability. It's used to defend important locations (For example, when the gate opens because of trolls, they can send a quick volley, weaking the trolls, and then go onto sword) and kill targets just like the swordsmen do. This unit is most of the time very close to the enemy, making it a dangerous job, however, with a good chance of getting kills.
Constructor:
The one who builds barricades. Most say enough. You're not very good at fighting, since you make barricades next to gates, passages or doors. I recommend this class for the ones who are not very good at PvP, but want to support their team on their own way. There is only, not very much chance to get points nor kills.
Mordor
Mordor Archer:
Same as the Gordorian archer, you'll be poking, slowing down, irritating and killing the other team. You're important to take out other archers, giving your orcs a free passage. This class has just like the Gordorian archer, a fair chance to get loads of kills and points.
Orc:
You're an axeman, comparable to the Gondorian swordsmen. Only now, you need to break in important positions, killing everyone and securing the flag. You'll get your points by capturing the flags and killing people. Again, I highly recommend this for the persons who are good in Pvp, as you'll also have a high chance to die.
Mordor Mage:
Again, almost the same as the Gondorian Mage, only now instead of defending, you're capturing. Yes indeed, this class is used a lot for capturing. You can hold off swordsmen with your flamethrower, and hop next to the flag with your enderpearl. You'll get your points and kills by capturing flags, and killing people who are trying to kill you.
Mordor Constructor:
Well, as Constructor, you build barricades to defend a point... But well, Mordor attacks? If you chose to be a constructor on this map, which I don't recommend, your job at the start is to protect your soldiers with wooden shields, but later on, it's not really needed anymore.
Troll:
To start off, this class, is just very strong, and I recommend it highly to persons who need kills, points or aren't just very good in PvP. As a troll, you're a tank, with high armor , taking the arrow hits, letting your orcs go after the archers, while you kill their swordsmen, thanks to your enormous damage you got. Another example of a job you do, is bashing the gates, since you're the only one who can do that, capturing points and killing their sergeants (A donator class, who is a stronger form of the swordsmen) The chance of getting kills with the class is huge, since it's very easy to play.
Hadarim Archer:
This class is almost the same as the normal archer, except a few things: You have less damage on-hit, but after a few seconds, the damage is the same as the normal archer, thanks to your poison. Another thing is, that this archer is a counter to all other archers and mages, thanks to it's nausea effect the arrows wear, which will make the other archers harder to hit you. I suggest taking this class if you're a good archers, but also if you aren't. The side effects of the bow are also strong against swordsman, giving you a better chance to survive.
Armoured Troll:
This class is donor only, and can be get with a low donation. This is basically the upgraded troll, meaning that you've more armor and more damage. Because of this, you're very good at capturing flags, because of your high sustain. If anyone is coming, you can kill them with your stone, or else fight hand-to-hand. Getting kills with this class isn't hard. Because of your damage and armor, you can practically kill everyone on your path. However, the easier way and safest too, is to target isolated archers and soldiers. Knock them in the corner, they can't get away, and you finish them quickly with a few smashes. However, this class has a good counter, just like the normal troll: The mage. He has more speed, which means he can outrun you, and he is very fearsome with his flamethrower. Good mages can even kill you, however, most will probably die. Best way to kill them is to surprise or focus isolated mages.

Gates, good archer spots and other locations!
[rule]
In this part of the guide, I'll explain the flags, how to capture and defend them, and a small bit about the severs. But, I'll also show a few sniper spots, where you can get some kill easily or defend a keypoint easier.
Pellenor fields & the Main Gate
Gondor:
This is the place where you need to hold as long as possible. In the first minutes, it will be easy. Mordor will have tons of mages and archers, so look out you won't die because of that. They'll mostly try to ladder up the walls, climbing over it and killing everybody and/or going to the flag. Care about a few enderpearls from mages which will land on the walls, but that's it. After the siege towers are unlocked, that's the moment when it's going to be hard. You'll need swordsman and spearman for the sieges towers and flag, but at the same time make sure that a few mages don't ladder up the wall. If you can do this right for a long time, you'll have a much better chance to win the game.
Mordor:
The first few minutes are very boring. Suggest taking archer, shooting at the Gondorian archers and mages on the wall. You might able to pick a few kills up. When the siege towers are coming, that's when you need to take orc/troll. Don't take it before it, you'll only stand on the ground, doing nothing. When the siege tower opens, rush into them, and start making your way to the flag. As donator, you can unite on top of the wall, so do that often, cause you need to end this part quickly.
Updates:
