Will there be support for name changes in the future? I changed my name but I no longer have any of my old class permissions (I was King before they changed ranks). I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

There will never be support for name changes in the future, according to Tim. You'll just have to wait 30 days to change your name.

You can get your rank transfered, but you will loose all point classes (I believe)
what do you mean by that you have to wait 30 Days?
You have to wait 30 days after changing you're name before you can change it again. You will also loose all point-classes/ranks/stats/points and nicknames if you change you're name and re-log into Empire-war's lotr siege server. Next time try to do it the simple way and read about the side affects of changing you're name before you actually do it. Have a good evening! -B
