So I just tried to go on the LOTR Seige server, and it says Kicked whilst connecting to Seige: Full server, donate for VIP slot. I have king on that server, which as far as i know has always and still does have a slot.

Well, it seems dutch newbs coming from popular YouTubers are more important than you in the eyes of the server.
Thats what I did try, it said that to me ingame.Try joining the lobby (mc.empirewar.org) and then on the compass connect to Siege. Works for me
