Tag and notify a staff member: a useful Enjin feature

I have looked through one and another ban appeal on this forum. They got a nice format and contains the necessary information that staff need to know to be able to deal with an appeal properly. However, I have one useful advice for you. Enjin offers a feature where you can tag other users. I couldn't find any indications that this is being used here yet. When you do this, the user will receive a notification that their name was mentioned in the thread. It works similar to how you are notified when you are quoted.

We use this feature a lot to quickly notify staff members when they are responsible to deal with an appeal. We also use this when we want some special person have a look at a thread without having to message or actively contact them in some other way.

Look at the following code below:

Code:
@<Enjin username>

For example, type “@sjoerdtim” and see what happens. A menu will appear where you can select the user you wish to tag.

You can also type in the BB-code if you have the person’s Enjin ID-code:

Code:
[user avatar="https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.enjin.com/187965/site_logo/small.png" name="Unknown User"]0[/user]

You can receive the ID-code in the search bar when you look at someone’s profile.

Hope this can come to any use for and make your appeal system even more efficient! :-)

To exemplify, it will look like this:

[user avatar="https://cravatar.eu/helmavatar/sjoerdtim/74.png" name="sjoerdtim"]960266[/user]

Yes this is very useful, but our staff simply contact each other in some other way.

We use this quite often (not for reports - but some quite of trend xD) - only if a staff member doesn't see a thread (which is quite rarely).

All staff are in a skype group where we talk about bans and other stuff, so we'll notify eachother when we need to.
I agree this feature can be very useful, but please refrain from using it to summon staff to suggestions, suggestions are to be viewed by them when they want to, not forced.

Then I got to admire how efficient you have managed to set up such a Skype-group. You have done it much better than us. We have tried this three times already, but it never became used for more than a few days. Credit to all EW staff members for that! :)

How influential are EW staff members when it comes to implementing new suggestions?

We have less staff members, and the people in this community can easily communicate and know eachother well.
