I think constructor is possibly my favorite class on the whole server. I was playing on a very slow battle of Minas Tirith last night, and the fight got stuck on the third gate. So, after I had build pretty much all the barricades there were to build behind the gate, I started to mess around. And this is what happened:
This thing was 5x5 blocks, and I would guess around 20 blocks high, I don't know, I didn't count. It featured a stair/ladder pathway up through one of the 1x2 arrow holes, and had a fancy x-pattern for a roof. (I would have made a solid roof with a dome, but the silly "no pillaring up" rule kept me from doing that, even though it wasn't even close to pillaring. :dizzy: ) It gave the occupant a full 360 view near the third flag, and could probably have fit four archers comfortably. This awesome tower was indestructible! It withstood two sieges, in which I was the only defender and I successfully held out long enough for my Gondor buddies to come and clear out the riff-raff that thought they could mess with my tower.
Here's me weathering an attack.
In the first siege I just got in the back of the tower and waited it out by replacing the wooden blocks that the Mordors broke. But in the second siege, I actually shot the pesky orcs as they tried to attack me. Unfortunately, there were many evil mages that liked to repeatedly shoot the tower with their cursed fireballs, which made rebuilding a pain, but it always bounced back.
And here's Gondor having a unite party in the tower!
Overall, it was late last night, and the battle was quite boring, but this archer tower made it fun again. I like the constructor class, and I think the server should promote it. Maybe there should be a donator constructor class, like an advanced constructor that also has ladders and different colors of wood and some better armor and maybe even stair-steps. Vote for this post if you like the contructor class too, and let me know what you think about the donator constructor!
