The current state of point classes

This is a bug report, let's stop this discussion here. Please continue it on a separate thread.

Let's.

I personally think the point classes on the server are too weak (with a few exceptions) for the points they cost. We have plenty of sharp 3 spear classes and when asking for buffs we usually don't get a very clear answer.

What do you think about the current state of point classes?

Point class sucks for 1 main reason, Tim don't want them to be strong so new players will have chance to beat them with the normal classes.

I have an idea that will allow point class to be stronger, but I'll put that in it's own thread

One thing I've noticed is an inconsistency in the costs of point classes. Some classes that are only on one map cost more than classes that are on multiple maps, without even being "better". I do agree that many point classes need buffs, but I would also like to see adjustments in the costs.

for how long have we made the same point that many if not most point classes are unusable trash (town guard, warg rider, etc)?
I do support cost adjustments with buffs, but what of ppl who already bought them? total refund then they save up to more price?

No, the players who already bought the classes are just lucky/unlucky.

I c. can we find a way to help balance point classes and make them better?

To be honest, point classes were never truly used, simply because they were just slightly better or worse than the average classes, which makes it not worth the points you are paying for. Espacially if you are a /noob/ that is making points very slowly. Point classes should have certain abilities or whatsoever to change the playstyle instead of an extra 1,5 armor and sharpness debuff.

I agree. in some separate threads I have stressed the importance of variety, and the current state of point (how f***ing boring they are), and compared them to all the donor classes and their grand abilities
