You, are not banned, you are connecting to the Lobby which is currently having issues.
You can do 2 of the following to prevent this mishap, both that allow you to access Siege, Arcade, and Event. (If opened.)
Step 1 - The first sign is that you are joining the Siege lobby, which can be found by checking the Ip Address of the server, under "Edit Server." If it says mc.empirewar.org, you are most likely joining the Lobby, which is having issues.
Step 2 - Click "Add Server" and add the IP (s) lotr.empirewar.org (connects to siege) or arcade.empirewar.org (connects to Arcade.)
Step 3 - You should be able to join servers, and the problem would be solved.
Unless you are purposely trying to join the Lobby, no worries, this is happening to everyone, and here is the solution.
