So, most of you know me, I just left a few weeks ago and I would like to say a few things. Veterans. Possibly the most controversial subject on EW. Recently a lot of players have been talking about how the "golden age" has ended and that all the veterans are leaving and all that.
Well I am sick of it. I came online for a little bit to see how my favorite server was doing and all I could find was hate. Do you know what ended the "golden age"? Us. It was the vets that made this server a worse place. Too be honest, it seems that some of our most popular players that are the worst. I could name 10 subjects right now that if they are mentioned with even the slightest hint of opinion this thread would become a flame war, and I am sick of it. So here you go:

Tbh our community sucks sometimes, we hate noobs, and scare away most of them with our flame wars. Whenever Tim bans someone who had the least importance in our community we all rage and scream. And believe it or not, calling someone nooby for bow spam might ACTUALLY HURT THEIR FEELINGS! We are dying because we have an unwelcoming community on the forums where only donors or "vets" get their opinions respected.

So please, stop destroying our community! Welcome everyone! Even those bowspamming "Noobs"! And stop disrespecting Tim's decision to ban a decent player, most of the time you don't know half the story.

and i understand being called a noob.... because more often than not... they're right! :)

I condsider my self a vet.... and yes these have been the cause of many players leaving.. some may come back but we need to fill their spaces. get new players in and make them feel welcome
 
I am relatively new to this server (I played during the early golden age) and the forum community has been downright welcoming. Maby thats because i know how the server works and i am not asking questions like how do i swing a ram, how do i capture a flag, or raming a gate as an archer.
 
I like this I just don't like how true it all is. I often feel pathetically ashamed due to my age yet my apparent lack of maturity in certain areas in the server. Even considering how little I play on it now for the short amounts of time I do go on it's obvious, although it will not altogether heal itself I do not believe it is without hope.
 
I agree, veterans caused and ended the golden age. must veterans where nice but some where jerks. i remembar how anrza posted a mean thread and got banned. he was a jurk. same with the others. you have my upvotes..

not really anyone says noobs as much, unless spamvertisers come here and spamvertise. sometimes others things happen. most people called noobs dont care, they are like "no your a noob" thing. and people who are senstive are most likely coryeckman's family members
 
well in my opinion (and i'm a bit of a vet joined like early golden age) that it's not the vets that screwed the golden age it's staff not telling us the full story of bans respectable but then people are like WTF!!! he was my friend so ye i do agree ima write a welcome thread in a little :D
 
In my opinion, I think that anymore threads that have to do with a person's definition should be spam and should be treated as spam. And where are the periods, Squid?
