My friend said he had found a awsome new game called minecraft, i remember that he had a 2 floor dirt house and was wearing full dia... (this was in the mid of Alpha) he let me create my own world and play, it took about 5 minutes for me to learn the controls and start playing, i was walking around killing animals and trees (yup, i killed them) he was sitting next to me guiding me thru everything (we called creppers ogre´s back then...), my first house was a 2x3 hole in a mountain/hill it was alot of gravel where a lived and i remember i had my old trusty wooden pic in a chest when i got my first dia, i got it the first time i was playing mc! a dia!

Tell me something u remember from YOUR first day in MC, and how u found out about the game, i wanna know!

My sister bought minecraft beta 1.9 on disk for her computer, I got to play it, and I immediately fell in love with it. For my birthday, I asked to buy it online, and I did! It was the best thing ever (except from glitches and crashes of the game.) This community I think is the best thing I have discovered about Minecraft, and also EW server. Thank you!

Ok... So how was your first day?

I first discovered minecraft when I was younger, but it was...weird. Really weird. Similar to our minecraft, but there were various things that never were in this minecraft. So, two years ago, I bought minecraft and fell in love with it. Now, a year ago, I found EW and met the community in summer. And this is my story.

Frustration, a lot of and frustration. I thought to break blocks you tapped the mouse once, instead of holding it down and doing it normally. I'd been introduced to Minecraft on YouTube and watched quite a few MC videos on there so I expected jumping in and playing it would be really easy... but then I bought the game and didn't even know how to punch down a tree.
So basically, I spent my first day in MC failing to break a single block and running around the world punching sheep.

I found it through ye olde internet explorer. I was bored, found the game, then bought it. Read some books about LOTR, and decided to find a server. This was the first one I found. Singleplayer was great, first world was a massive mountain range. Spawned on a tree, so I hewed it down with my fists of iron, and made it into a shack of crap. Literally was just a little WW2 foxhole with a single block over it. I had no food, and only had a wooden axe as defense. Little did I know creepers didn't burn like the great undead horde that surrounded my shack, and I was blasted into oblivion.

My friends first introduced it to me and when I first started playing I just flew around in creative for a while wonderig ehat the hell I was doing :D then I started looking for servers about my favorite films and books etc... And that is when I first found EW.

Terrible, died about 16 times, and near the end of the day realized you were meant to collect wood xD

I joined a SP world right near the sea, so, as you would, I went for a swim. The trouble was, I didn't known how to float. I knew it was space, and so I smashed the space bar loads, but I just slowly sank to the bottom and drowned XD

Beta 1.3, the server my brother set up had been running for approximately 10 minutes before we figured out how to connect. I spawned in the middle of the night. After dying and running around for a minute or two I dug a 1x3 hole downwards. A spider was trying to reach me from above and that's how I discovered it required 4 blocks. I kept widening this hole into a square cavern and asked my brother what kind of blocks there existed to decorate it with.
It took me about 3 week before discovering there existed Iron, I was to busy digging dwarf halls into mountains with stone pickaxes. So I never took my time exploring the underground. And with all this cobblestone left over I ended up building this cobblestone city. You can see about 60% of it x.x

For me there was actually not much fun on the first day. Before i bought minecraft i've watched many videos n' stuff. So when i first logged on into a singleplayer world i just needed to check for the controls, everything else, like getting food and building a house and a bed, i knew from YouTube.
