I just saw a very fitting comment i.m.o. on youtube under Billy Boyd's last Goodbye, thoguht i'd share this with you

by Probus Excogitatoris:
The Lord of The Rings trilogy was a labor of love. Made against all the odds by an underdog director and his own hand-picked crew and actors. Much like the fellowship of the ring they were bound by friendship and respect for each other. The Hobbit movies, on the other hand, are commercial blockbusters made mainly in order to cash in on the LOTR hype. Yes, I have watched the first two movies and will watch the third one as well. I don't think they are bad movies. As you said, I love the characters and I love Middle Earth. But, at the same time I realize that much of the magic just is not there anymore. I don't feel the passion anymore. I will remember and cherish the LOTR movies until the day I die. I have probably watched the extended versions alone a dozen times so far. I will not watch the Hobbit movies even twice. The LOTR movies will go down in history as among the best and most epic movies ever made. Movies that no one thought were even possible to make. The Hobbit movies, on the other hand, will soon be forgotten. That is not to say that they are in any way awful movies. I'm just saying that they look very bleak in comparison to the LOTR trilogy. Let's keep it real. That said, I can't fucking wait to watch the third Hobbit movie :)
