    Today, they legalized gay marriage in the US. Many of the people I follow oppose this but I have to disagree. They throw in religion but the US is a mix of religions, we have a mix of all people so you cannot say that we are going against Christianity because people in this country can be whatever they want. Before I say more I want to say that I am not trying to insult the people who are strongly against it, I just want you to reconsider.
    The US is a mix of Jewish, Christian, Atheist, Buddhists, Hindu, etc. people and a court cannot base its ruling just on one group's religion. You may say god made Adam and Eve but you have no proof, to back this. God could've created 2 men and 2 women letting them decide what they will do. The United Nations gave this in their human rights article, here are some of the things that prove this.
    The second article says: "Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty." This proves that all people have their rights no matter what their sex or what sex they are attracted to.
    The 16th article states: "Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution." This says that all people have the right to marry no matter if they are gay or not.
    You may say, "But it goes against my religion." Well why do you care? It doesn't affect you and everyone should have the right to express who they really are, no matter what gender they are, what gender they like, race, religion, etc.
    If you are so against gay marriage then please reconsider, but if you are still against it just think, don't take your disliking of something out on others, they are just being who you are. Imagine if you couldn't buy a house cause you are a man, or play minecraft because you are Christian. Most of all gays have the right to be married and it will make them happy but will not affect you at all unless you let it.
