News in Syria; Syria’s Assad regime’s chemical weapons program was not successfully shut down by the UN, and is suspected to be being helped by North Korea. Russia’s military backs Assad because he will grant Russia’s Navy access to Syrian ports. Russia is helping in the war against ISIS but continues to fuel the Syrian Civil War. The Obama administration armed the Syrian rebels, also fueling the war. The US then began airstrikes instead of providing armaments to prevent ISIS from stealing more US military equipment. Arming insurgent groups in the Middle East has proven very disastrous. Foreign interference has fueled many of these terrible issues. America First also means to stop creating new problems overseas.
