    Like it or not the large majority of terrorist attacks are committed by Islamic extremists, and thus it is necessary to be cautious about immigrants coming from war torn area's. A large majority of leftists don't like this fact because Muslims are somehow supposedly oppressed, however bigoted some people may be towards them they are not systematically oppressed, and that's why the argument is invalid. The closest thing to "oppression" there ever was on Muslims here was the "Muslim ban" which banned immigration from high risk war torn areas and from some areas with high polling for the hatred of the US. It's not as if immigration officials searched their belongings for a Quran and then if the found one they turned them back.

    Idk if this is a dumb question, but why don't we make Jerusalem owned by say, the UN, and make it so that people from Palestine and Israel can both go there.

    Altho I'm not the most up-to-date on middle eastern politics, this seems like a good idea. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Idk if this is a dumb question, but why don't we make Jerusalem owned by say, the UN, and make it so that people from Palestine and Israel can both go there. Because a city in Israel, an independent nation, should not be owned by a foreign globalism-advocating organization, especially not to appease the Palestinians. Furthermore, Jews and Palestinians hate eachother - their cultures are utterly incompatible. Trying to appease both will only make both of them hate us, and may cost us a positive relationship with Israel considering the compromise comes primarily at their expense. Ultimately, we either choose a side or stay out of it. Since it's too late for the latter, we either choose the Palestinians or the Jews - and the Jews are a far more valuable ally with a much more compatible culture with ours than the Palestinians.

    Jerusalem does not belong to Palestine, they lost that privilege when Israel gave them quite a sizeable land area and then turned it into air fields to bomb Israeli cities. Palestinian soldiers use children as human shields and they would use them for cannon fodder if the Israelis actually shot at children! 4 time throughout the recent century our allies in Israel have offered Palestine peace and 4 times they turned them down and 1 of them they TOOK THE LAND AND TURNED IT INTO AN AIRFIELD to bomb Israeli cities. Palestine has lost all sympathy and all reason to be given what they want, and there are 2 things they want the complete destruction of the nation of Israel and Jerusalem. Some leaders of Palestine in the past have even called for the death of the Jewish race. Palestine doesn't deserve a shred of recognition.
