Omfg, for the first time, math actually was necessary to accomplish something. As I'm sure you guys know, I'm starting a map called Caerphilly Castle. When working on the dam, I realized I had no clue how tall it was. Although last year in 9th grade, I took geometry, I remembered something involving proportion and used it. What I did was I took the height of a minivan nearby, 66 inches (Looked up the height of minivan), and I measured its shadow (1 meter). I then measured the shadow of the dam wall (5 meters), and I multiplied 1.674 meters(66 inches) by 5 to get 8.37. 8.37 was the height of the dam. The issue is everyone that said math is a waste has been proved wrong. Also, I obviously tried to look up the height, but no luck. My mind was blown by this event...
