The creation of the crossbow leads to the development of fireable Greek fire bolts. Rangers adopt different versions of the crossbow, becoming as adept with it as they are with the bow. The crossbow IS NOT being sold to anyone.

How does Greek fire work?

Is it like thermite or gasoline or tanerite?

Can I invent the ballista? I haven't invented anything yet, and most nations have made at least one invention by now.

With a new weapon comes a new troop: crossbowmen. They have leather armor with brass plating on their shoulders as well as battle skirts. They are slow, weighed down by their crossbows as well as a dozen bolts but their aim is lethally accurate. Apart from the crossbow, they are also armed with a shortsword.

Gr8 the main different between you and Bloodsworn crossbows. Yours are heavy, Dims are light. Yours have a bit more power, but a made more rough. Although both nations are industrious, they have more supplies and can make things better, while you have less, more crude materials, so often you learn to cope and function with faulty equipment, which increases the craftiness of the soldiers as they find new ways to overcome such problems
