Speaking of natives, some idiot Qariri colonial decided that, as a joke, he would tell his native friends that Ologor is a fire-spewing demon who bathes in the blood of his underlings and wishes to seduce the African peoples with treasures and enslave them all and that to give into his fiery power would be to embrace the darkest and most evil of magics. Taking this entirely the wrong way, this startled native ran off to tell his family, who told their family, who, as a result of a livid night of drinking far too much palm wine, spread it in several directions in a rather exaggerated form. The story spread far and wide and the name of Ologor became loathed in the areas around Qariri colonies. Sorry about that. The culprit is still being hunted for, and all efforts of dispelling these lies on the part of the Qariri have been met with suspicion from the Africans.

That's what happens when people in the 21st century pretend to be colonial nations.
