This line should explain the dystopian part. And it's not medieval though. It's somewhere around the industrial revolution It all happened. A world divided by alliance. One must choose a side, either the Undying Sun or the Forever Moon. Then, it came. A secret weapon was invented. The heretical war ended with a devastating effect. Who won? No one. The alliances, was dissolved because of one invention. Only God knows what that is, but all we know that we lose most of our greenhouse gases. Now that most of it is gone, this barren rock, has no biodiversity. The only biome in this god-forsaken planet is hell. Just not the hell you imagine but an icy cold world.
