I went from a private catholic school run by 'brothers', at which you had to say prayers before and after every lesson (and note Jesus' presence at the top of every page), to a wayy more secular - albeit Church of England - school. It was a pretty intense transition.

Non-religious/Not that religious schools are a lot less stressful. When I switched from a heavily Baptist school to one that could give a very little shit, I found it a lot easier. (The second school was actually rated higher than the other one)

I've been in public education my whole life and I'm in a school where the population is the size of a small town. So I can say for certain that you'll have quite the experience coming from religious school.
