Yeah.. it annoys me how people complain about this, because they're so used to hollywood making Egyptians white, that they actually started believing it was like this. They were black.

The reason they are lighter now is because of the Arab takeover that happened during the Middle Ages which spread Islam to North Africa and parts of Europe

No, not really. More than half of Ancient Egypts population were slaves and former slaves, and Egyptian slave routes ran halfway across Asia and Europe. Blacks were the majority, however, but not by much
