During my time on Conwy, I was responsible for issuing punishments to an amount of people equivalent to an average high school. With that being said, it doesn't mean that banning a lot of people is something that's necessarily something to be proud about. A really good community should after all strive to keep it to a minimum. I am not trying to be rude or criticise anyone here. Frankly, I think it's interesting to look at statistics like this as well. It's just that I want to avoid feeling some sort of pride about it.
I think pride is perfectly valid. And it's a given that this is kept to a minumum, surely. Everyone banned is/was a hacker, and as such we should be proud, for the sake of the community and the server, that they are gone forever. Banning hackers should not be a reluctant act.
