Since when have laws ever been able to stop criminals? People still get shot in the U.K., where guns are comepletely illegal. Making it harder for good people to get guns makes it easier for bad people to kill good people

People still got shot on the UK, but much less often. Gun control laws do reduce the quantity of these events.

its true some people may illegally obtain guns, but it still would greatly reduce shootings. In many shootings, such as Vegas or Florida school, those guns were obtained legally and in atleast one case by someone who definitely shouldnt of had the ability to buy a gun. Guns like AR-15s are not self defense guns, they are used for one of two things, shooting off for fun or shooting people, based off both those reasons guns like that should not be legal to buy and sell. Saying we shouldnt have gun control is just plain ignorance, and saying you want to put people's and kids' lives in danger.

Give the teachers guns. Cheaper than giving all the kids guns.

SLRs are self defense weapons though. People calling them "assault" weapons doesn't change anything. Most mass shootings are done with semi automatic pistols, not rifles. Don't bring different topics into this

also most use rifles not pistols, like the recent event in Florida the shooter used an AR-15

No, most times it takes multiple shots, and sometimes multiple magazines, to take down an attacker. Especially if they are on Steroids or other drugs. Got a statistic to back that up?
