Well basically if you don’t have the right to bear arms somebody’s going to get shot and have no way of defending themselves because they don’t have the right to bear arms.

It's mostly that a lot of the people who want guns locked away don't have or want anything to do with guns. It makes sense to be totally honest.

yeah it makes sense, but that doesn't make it good. the people who don't know what they're talking about shouldn't be the ones making the decisions. you could literally tell someone a blatant lie and then ask them to sign a petition / vote to act on said lie, and they'll probably do it. that's what we call sheep

But what I said above is not a lie it’s just common sense. If I don’t have the right to bear arms, and somebody comes to my house and wants to shoot me and take all my furniture or some shit, and I can’t shoot them or scare them off in self-defense because I don’t have the right to bear arms then I’m gonna die, maybe my family too, very bad.

And if they want to take away the right to bear arms then obviously people who are criminals are just going to break the law and bear arms illegally like they already do because they’re not supposed to have weapons because most of them have a record so they legally obtain weapons.

what are your thoughts on the whole "store your ammo and gun in separate locked containers" law proposal? sounds like it would make it very difficult to access your weapons in the case of an emergency :thinking:

Big Brain Idea: How about we just put better restrictions on guns? Nobody wants anyone to be left defenseless, but you have to at least attempt to keep the guns out of the wrong hands

at least this wasn't cleared to post in super mainstream media (as far as I know)

The guns are not the problem, it’s the people using them. If someone wanted to kill people, they would preferably use a gun. But, a car or any object or machine could be used as a weapon. Sorry if something in here is wrong, I’m Canadian but I’m just voicing my opinion here.

We already HAVE those laws and restrictions, they just aren't enforced properly if at all. Nikolas Cruz had several illegal guns along with legal ones despite having a huge and dark track record, even though there's background checks and he was KNOWN BY THE FBI AS AN AT-RISK INDIVIDUAL. What does that tell you? It's not the fault of the guns. More restrictions makes it harder for law-abiding citizens to get a gun.
